Application Programming Interface

PanelApp is a curated online database of NHS National Genomic Testing Directory panels. This allows users to search for panels by genetic condition or gene. For more information please see: https://panelapp.genomicsengland.co.uk/ The PanelApp API v1 is currently used for PanelSearch and can be found here: https://panelapp.genomicsengland.co.uk/api/docs/

The VariantValidator API (https://rest.variantvalidator.org/) is also used but to get MANE select transcripts associated with gene panels. VariantValidator is a tool that can map between transcripts and genomic variants. More information can be found on the VariantValidator website: https://www.variantvalidator.org/
